Cash Ramps Track
One day. One demo. Connect USDC and cash with MoneyGram Ramps, then pitch it live.
Problem
USDC on-chain. Cash in the real world.
Solana excels at holding and moving USDC. Billions of people still rely on cash and agent networks for remittances, travel, and everyday liquidity. Card on-ramps and generic Buy crypto buttons do not solve that last mile.
Your challenge: in one day in London, ship a sandbox product that uses Ramps for compliance, quoting, settlement, and the MoneyGram agent network. You choose the user, the story, and widget, headless, or hybrid. The brief is open on purpose. We are not looking for another wallet cash tab.
Stack
How Ramps works
Ramps is MoneyGram's developer surface for USDC cash-in and cash-out on Solana. MoneyGram runs KYC orchestration, quoting, settlement, and agents. You build the product people open first.
- Cash-out: the user sends USDC, receives a pickup reference, and collects cash at an agent.
- Cash-in: the user pays cash at a store and receives USDC after the store confirms.
- Coverage: cash-out in 170+ countries and territories; cash-in in 25+. Pick a story you can demo in sandbox.
- Widget + sessions: MoneyGram hosts KYC and screens. Fastest path for a one-day build.
- Headless /v1: the same API, your screens (preview for this event).
- Hybrid: your app through the user decision, widget for receipt or status.
Prepare
Get access before you arrive
Build happens in London on 15 November. Read docs and get keys before the day. You may sketch UX and choose a story in advance. The demo you pitch should be built at the event.

Sandbox codes are not redeemable at real agents. Demo quote, user confirmation, pickup reference or store code, and status. Do not imply a live store payout.

This track is Solana USDC only. Use the widget path or headless preview below. The main developer portal may also list Stellar paths for other partners; you can ignore those for this hackathon.
Ideas
What you can build
Anything that genuinely needs cash rails. Examples, not a menu. If your narrative is send-to-family, design around self-transfer (the person at the agent moves their own USDC), or ask us on the day.
- Travel or gig cash-out where maps and fees are the product, not a buried button
- A surface for people who use cash more than cards (family liquidity, cross-border workers)
- Honest cash-in: store choice, confirmation code, wait state, what happens if they never pay
- Mobile-first WebView or native screens, not a desktop widget tour
- A story existing wallet partners are not already shipping
Directed cash-in (someone else pays in, you receive USDC) needs enablement. Treat it as a stretch.
Qualify
Minimum requirements
- Real sandbox Ramps: a cash-out reference, a cash-in confirmation code, or a directed redeem if we enabled it for you.
- Demo URL, recording, or installable build a reviewer can follow without you driving every click.
- Repo plus a short write-up: user, problem, how Ramps fits, widget / headless / hybrid.
- One submission per team. No mocks or slides-only entries.

Impact, execution, fit
Live demo and a short pitch. Panel, slot length, and schedule are published with registration.

Rails
What the rails settle
These are API and compliance facts, not a ban on original products.
- Standard cash-in and cash-out: natural persons, self-transfer (the person at the agent is moving their own USDC) on Solana.
- B2B payroll, marketplace payouts, and third-party pickup are not supported on standard flows. The API will not complete them.
- Directed cash-in requires partner and corridor enablement in sandbox. Ask before you bet the demo on it.
- Sandbox codes and references are not redeemable at real agents. Demo the digital flow honestly.
